There are a couple reasons this may be happening. Review the following:
- You must be using iOS 13 in order for your USB drive to work with your iPhone/iPad
- Check Settings -> General -> About to see what version you are running.
- Check Settings -> General -> About to see what version you are running.
- Sounds crazy, but a lot of times a simple restart of your iPhone will fix most connection issues.
- Check and see if the drive shows up in the Files app – that will help determine if it is an app issue or potentially a USB issue.
- Once in Files, tap “browse” until you see Locations. The USB drive should be listed there.
