Your order ships via USPS and typically arrives within 3-5 days after your order is processed.
Tracking info is included in your shipment notification email and is available in “My Account” if you create an account at checkout.
Installation couldn't be easier.
- Open your Pure Tesla shipment.
- Remove the USB drive from the packaging.
- Plug your new USB drive into the front USB port in your Tesla.

Why microSD cards?
The microSD drives we use are designed for Dashcam systems. These cards are rugged, built to withstand extreme heat and cold, which is perfect for being left in a car year round, and have a write speed that far surpasses the minimum Tesla requirement (4 MB/sec).
Regular USB flash drives cannot withstand the constant recording that takes place with Dashcam systems and will fail…probably when you need it the most. microSD cards, specifically those in this package, are up to the task and can handle the burden.

Tesla vehicles that have AP2.5 hardware or later are compatible with recording video to a USB drive.
AP2.5 hardware started shipping on Tesla vehicles starting in August 2017, with a full conversion in October 2017.
USB recording is NOT compatible with AP1.0 or AP2.0 hardware (vehicles manufactured before August 2017).
No, your Pure Tesla USB drive comes entirely pre-formatted for TeslaCam.
Simply open the package and plug the USB drive into your Tesla. That's it!
One minute of footage has a typical size of 30 MB. Using that metric:
128GB – Approx 71 hours of footage
256GB – Approx 142 hours of footage
International shipments going through customs are subject to inspection and, depending on your countries import policies, may be assessed import fees/VAT upon arrival and are the responsibility of the customer. This only applies to specific countries.

Dashcam is a system built into your Tesla. When a properly formatted USB drive (like the one we sell) is inserted into the USB port in your Tesla, the car will start recording from the front, left, right, and rear cameras.
The system retains the most recent hour of footage before overwriting itself.
To save footage, simply tap the Dashcam icon (small camera with red dot) and the last 10 minutes of footage will be saved permanently to the SavedClips folder on the drive. It will remain until you delete it.
Sentry Mode, when enabled, monitors your Tesla while it is parked and locked. When a potential threat is detected, the system enters Alert state, which starts the four cameras recording (front, left, right, rear) and also displays a message on the center screen.
If the threat becomes physical (entering vehicle, damage, etc) it will enter Alarm state and will activate the lights, horn, and music in the car.
Video clips from both Alert and Alarm states are saved to the SentryClips folder on your USB drive. The oldest clips overwrite when the drive fills up.

After see my Brother-in-laws product for hie Tesla, I was extremely interested…….sent Jeff an email and got very quick….I was interested in the iExpand from San Disk…They did not have experience with that one, but did recommend his pre-formatted card…I chose the 256gb and received it within a couple of days….was worried but just plugged it in and within 30seconds the icon appeared and was running……have had it installed for 2 days and only driven once…..will download clips tomorrow and look at them…..great customer service and they are willing to help in any way……if i need other car items, i will go there first….

Once I got it I was very happy. Plug and Play. That being said, I got the email saying it was delivered and it was not. I was in a bit of a panic and writing an email to you when it finally showed up. You might want to mention to USPS not to say it was delivered when it was not.
